A reproduction of the famous Fortune character originally written by Kang Xi Emperor in the Qing Dynasty. The original was a birthday present for his ill grandmother. With this unique way of writing, the fortune character comprises the words for many sons, more wealth, much land and long life which are the most important values in the traditional Chinese Society. Legend has it that his grandmother health improved and lived an old age after receiving the scroll from the emperor.
This elegant scroll is printed on silk with subtle Chinese longevity chop woven into the background. A great birthday preset for a wish of good fortune and long life.
